VEX Robotics*

VEX robotics uses plastic parts to create robots on the playing field. Students use controllers and coding to move the robots.
Sunny Brae fifth-grade students participate in the after-school robotics club. During the year, they participate in the VEX robotics competition at a nearby high school.
But robotics is so much more than competitions and controllers on the playing field. It is a serious endeavor that teaches our students the problem-solving skills needed to succeed in the 21st century. Introducing VEX robotics in elementary schools fosters hands-on learning, enhancing students' understanding of STEM concepts in a fun and engaging way. Collaborative teamwork in the robotics club promotes communication skills and helps students appreciate each other's ideas. Robotics cultivates creativity and critical thinking, laying a strong foundation for future academic and career success in STEM fields.
